John Allan & Genelle Doust are Tree of Us
Originally from Northern NSW John Allan has traversed many genres of music from music hall comedy, to productions "West Side Story", "Man of La Mancha", then to a principal with Australian Opera Company finally back to his beloved country and rock n roll music.
As a respected singer,song writer and recording artist, John has played venues throughout NSW, The NT and Queensland. John can cover all aspects of music and caters for all ages but 'specially for the over 35's with Orbison, Neil Diamond, country rock and music to get you up and going.
In 2000 he moved to the NT and his group become the resident group at Sky City Casino for 4.5 years, and also played at many corporate functions, including those at Government House & Parliament House Darwin.
Since releasing the album "New Old Songs" in 2008 John has been working throughout NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
Returninng to his hometown John renewed aquaintence with Genelle Doust another talented entertainer who previously worked in Groups Broken Glass, Jag & Blue Gum throughout the coastal areas. With experience of appearing at The Workers Club during Tamworth Country Festival for many years before moving to Tasmania where she was a popular performer at Festivals and Venues Genelle also appeared in stage dramas and musicals. Added to her talents she organised & entertained at the Gold Festival at Beaconsfield for 5 years, Huon Night of Stars plus the Royal Doctors'Ball. Since her return to the coast a few years ago Genelle has been quietly performing up and down the coast.
Together as the Duo "TREE OF US" these two talented performers present a polished variety of music. An easy listening, musical journey with fun- Genelle's lilting vocals and harmonies coupled with John's unique vocal range this duo present songs for all ages - 60's onwards,country rock,ballads and favourites. Featuring Roy Oribison, Neil Diamond, Cher & Pam Tillis.
